    (2) A turquoise necklace/bracelet/barefoot sandal thing ?  Please come to the office to claim.
** Air Jam Auditions are Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 8, after school, in the choir room.
** Students please check out the lost and found table in the front hallway on your way into school!  After March 5 it’s all going away and will be donated.

** Eighth Grade Students:  Are you interested in taking High School Dance next year? Just put “Dance” on your class enrollment sheet. ** Spring Sports will be starting March 19. 6/7/8th grade boys tennis, 7/8th grade girls soccer, 7/8th gr. boys & girls track are available.  You must sign up on Final Forms and turn in a physical form to the office before March 19.  Pick up an instruction sheet in the office If you need information on how to sign up on Final Forms.

**You’re invited to our Student Choreography Showcase, presented by the 7th/8th grade dance students of Cityside and Creekside.  

We have been studying the choreographic process in dance class.  Our final assessment is performing student choreographed dance pieces with meaningful themes and artistic value.  Come and see our creative works!

Admission is free.

Donations will be accepted for the Norma Sneller Scholarship Fund.  The Norma Sneller Scholarship helps young performing artists study their arts discipline.  A suggested donation of $1-$2 per person is appreciated.  We hope to see you there!

** Parents of  current 8th graders (going into 9th grade next year 2018-2019) here’s the link to the high school information presentation. **At this time, ZPS attendance remains steady with only a small increase in the number of students out with sickness. We appreciate families being diligent in keeping children home when sick to prevent the spread to others.
** Any  ZPS student grade 6-11 currently enrolled in a performing arts course and enrolled again for the 2018-2019 school year is eligible to apply for a summer study scholarship. Scholarship funds may be used for summer study in your art form or to defray the cost of private lessons.  Please visit the performing arts webpage for application information!  https://sites.google.com/a/zps.org/zps-performing-arts/scholarships  Deadline for Applications:  WEDNESDAY, March 28, 2018  3:00PM   
**Want to keep your house clear of clutter and plastic recycled?
Send any used or unwanted ink or toner cartridges to Creekside to Mrs. Walcott’s room.  Staples gives $2 back in rewards for each cartridge brought in for recycling.  Yes, there is a limit and a minimum purchase required.

**Non-School Lunch Items: Outside food is only allowed in the lunchroom if you are bringing lunch for your student ONLY.
The office conference rooms are no longer available for groups lunches with friends.

**Take note….Creekside opens it’s doors to students at 7:05a.m.. After school, students not with a teacher or coach, need to exit the building by 3:00p.m..

** Attendance #748-3310 PLEASE CALL BY 9:00A.M. TO EXCUSE YOUR STUDENT.
**Homework Party will be after school Monday thru Thursday from 2:30 – 3:30.

**Paper Gator Recycling:

What?  Please bring in your newspapers, catalogs/magazines/junk mail/phone books/office-school paper.  We cannot take plastic, metal, trash, glass, or cardboard.  

Where?  In the back of Creekside  (Look for “Paper Gator” on the bin)When? 24-7(drop off anytime)  

What will the paper become?  The paper will be shredded and processed into hydro-seeding mulch, lawn establishment products, lawn repair products, cat litter, dog litter or small animal bedding. Help us become a greener world!!!! Recycle!!!

** The boys swim and dive team lost a close meet 82 to 74.  Awesome swims by Hudson Knott, Ethan Kollen, Connall Pierson, and Carter Hughes.

If you are dizzy about Walt Disney Shows, the ZPS Orchestra students want to be Part of Your World for an evening of family-friendly entertainment at Cityside Middle School on Friday, February 23 Admission is FREE.  The party starts at 6:15pm.  The jukebox jingles are $2.50 each or 2 for $5. Bring an appetite for the menu that has something for everyone: dairy free, gluten free, meat free – all food priced under $6. $1 buys baked goods and a raffle ticket for themed baskets: Coffee, Chocolate, Pets, Movies, Socks! Book Lovers, Sweet & Salty, Couch Potato … and more! Hakuna Matata with a Friend Like ME!

GIRLS 3/4 Grade &  5/6 Grade  LACROSSE PLAYERS. 
We need more players to form our Z Teams.  
We have 8 girls for 5/6 and need 13-15 to offer a team.
We have 9 girls for 3/4 and could use a few more:-)
Sign up is extended to Saturday Feb 24th.  Late fee is Waived!

Sports News:
**The 8th grade team lost a tough battle to a sharp shooting Cityside squad.  Leading scorers for the Dux were Abby Winn, Emily Brands, Tia Martinez, Taylor Zwagerman, Ali Holman, Cassidy Wiersma, and Anna Girman.  The Dux are in action again on Monday, Feb 26 as they travel to Holland.

** The 7th grade team used a balanced scoring attack to earn the victory over the  Chix of Cityside.  Leading scorers for the Dux were Kara Bartles, Lindy Gulker, Ally Yonker, Danielle Swett, Marissa Ybarra and Grace Zuber.  Reese Guerink, Natalie Quick, Mya Mendham, and Abby Ridlington were dominating on the boards while Kenzie Spitters, Isabella Cifuentes, Katin Leva, and Ella Smith played outstanding defense.  The Dux are in action again on Monday as they travel to Holland.

We have 8 girls for 5/6 and need 13-15 to offer a team.
We have 9 girls for 3/4 and could use a few more:-)

** Any  ZPS student grade 6-11 currently enrolled in a performing arts course and enrolled again for the 2018-2019 school year is eligible to apply for a summer study scholarship. Send any used or unwanted ink or toner cartridges to Creekside to Mrs. Walcott’s room.  Staples gives $2 back in rewards for each cartridge brought in for recycling.  Yes, there is a limit and a minimum purchase required.

**Paper Gator Recycling:

What?  Please bring in your newspapers, catalogs/magazines/junk mail/phone books/office-school paper.  We cannot take plastic, metal, trash, glass, or cardboard.  

Where?  In the back of Creekside  (Look for “Paper Gator” on the bin)When? 24-7(drop off anytime)  

What will the paper become?  The paper will be shredded and processed into hydro-seeding mulch, lawn establishment products, lawn repair products, cat litter, dog litter or small animal bedding. Help us become a greener world!!!! Recycle!!!

** Found a keychain with the St. Louis Arch on it, has a single key that looks like a panda bear.  Please come to the front office to claim.

** Students–If you like to write and receive money for it, stop in the office to pick up the information for the Americanism Essay Contest (in the rack by the door).  Your essay must be turned into the office by Thursday, Feb. 22, @ 2:30 p.m.
** Spring Sports will be starting Today March 19. 6/7/8th grade boys tennis, 7/8th grade girls soccer, 7/8th gr. boys & girls track are available.  You must sign up on Final Forms and turn in a physical form to the office before March 19.  Pick up an instruction sheet in the office If you need information on how to sign up on Final Forms.

**At this time, ZPS attendance remains steady with only a small increase in the number of students out with sickness. We appreciate families being diligent in keeping children home when sick to prevent the spread to others.
