**The 8th grade boys basketball team lost to a talented Muskegon team.  Leading scorers for the Dux were Bergen Loeprich, Kylan Arnold, Josh Kroll, Mitch Middleton, and Isaac Hondorp.  Cooper Wolters and Hunter Busscher did a great job pulling down rebounds.  The Dux are in action again on Monday, Nov. 20 as they travel to East Rockford.

Parent News:

**Creekside will be doing conferences a little differently this year from previous years. In an attempt to make the process more efficient for parents, each grade level will have an online sign up page for parents to pick a time to come in to meet with teachers.

Time slots are broken up into 30-minute sessions. Each session will allow up to 10 families to register for the session. This breaks down to five minutes per teacher, to see all your student’s teachers. If you feel you need more than five minutes with any individual teacher, please contact the teacher to set up a time outside of conferences.

Teachers will be assembled in alphabetical order in the Quack Shack (Last Names A-G) and in the Cafeteria/Breakout Areas (Last Name H-Z).

To register for your conference time click on the link http://creekside.zps.org/conference-sign-up/, then select and click on the grade level of your student(s), click the box next to the day and time that is available and works for you and hit <Submit and Sign Up> button. Fill in the information boxes as requested and then click the <Sign Up Now> button.

If you are having trouble with registering for a time, please call 616.748.3300 and speak to a secretary to get help registering for conferences.

Parent News:
** Creekside Families-

A quick reminder note about a new building construction issue. On recent very rainy days some of our new poured concrete was not at an appropriate slope and was sending water back toward the building. The  solution is to tear up the concrete and re-pour it at the correct slope.

The area to be torn up is the area facing Roosevelt Elementary and parking lot. This is used by students to enter and exit the building before and after school. With the weather getting colder, we need to do this quickly.  We anticipate this area to off limits for about a week.

Students being dropped off and picked up before and after school should plan, beginning 10/27, to revert back to last year’s plan of entering the building either through the gym doors, the end of the 8th grade core hallway, or the front of the building. The areas where work is taking place will have barriers and will be well marked for students.

Parent News:
** Creekside Families-

We just wanted to send a quick reminder note about a new building construction issue. It became apparent on our recent very rainy days that some of our new poured concrete was not at an appropriate slope and therefore was sending water back toward the building. The only solution to this issue is for construction crews to tear up the concrete and re-pour it at the correct slope.

The area to be torn up is the cafeteria East side entry way. (Facing Roosevelt Elementary and parking lot) This is used by many students to enter and exit the building before and after school.

With the weather getting colder, we need to do this quickly. Crews will begin  10/26 after school and continue on Friday 10/27. Crews are then planning on pouring the new concrete early this week.

**ZPS Custodial positions available – Part time and subs needed.  Flexible hours and good place to work !  Adults and students encouraged.  Please apply online at www.zps.org or call  Kelly at 748.3011.

**Non-School Lunch Items: Outside food is only allowed in the lunchroom if you are bringing lunch for your student ONLY.

The office conference rooms are no longer available for groups lunches with friends.

**Take note….Creekside opens it’s doors to students at 7:05a.m.. After school, students not with a teacher or coach, need to exit the building by 3:00p.m..

** Attendance #748-3310 PLEASE CALL BY 9:00A.M. TO EXCUSE YOUR STUDENT.
**Homework Party will be after school Monday thru Thursday from 2:30 – 3:30 starting this week 9/11/17.
