**Middle School Club Softball for 6th – 8th grade is now preparing for the spring softball season.  Any players that are interested in learning more about club softball or would like to play, please have your parent email Coach Deb Sleeman at sleemandeb@gmail.com ASAP.  Indoor practices will be starting on Tuesday, January 16 from 7:15 – 8:45 pm at the indoor Storm Softball & Baseball Training Center.  More information will be given once an email is sent to Coach Sleeman and please include details about your daughter including name, grade, positions played and amount of experience playing softball.  Note, since this is a club sport, there are fees associated with playing because it is not funded through the school.

Where?  In the back of Creekside  (Look for “Paper Gator” on the bin)When? 24-7(drop off anytime)  

What will the paper become?  The paper will be shredded and processed into hydro-seeding mulch, lawn establishment products, lawn repair products, cat litter, dog litter or small animal bedding. Help us become a greener world!!!! Recycle!!!

**Congratulations to the Creekside girls competitive cheer team for taking home a first place finish at the Wyoming Invitational. The girls competed against 4 other teams. All girls did a great job last Saturday! Natalie Johnson had excellent tumbling, Barianna Moran had great facials, and Tara Bartels had beautiful flexibility. Way to end the season with a first place finish!

**Crew signup! If you are interested in being on the crew for this year’s musical, Fiddler on the Roof, please plan to attend an informational meeting and signup in the Quack Shack after school TODAY  Friday, January 12. The meeting will go until 3:00pm. Check with Mrs. Roels or Mr. Costello with any questions!

**The Zeeland West Senior All Night Party is having a formal dress sale on Saturday January 27, 2017 from 10-2pm in the Zeeland West Cafeteria.  There are many styles colors and sizes to choose from.  All dresses are $15.
**The Zeeland West Senior All Night Party Committee is hosting the 2nd Annual Euchre Tournament.  Please join us for FOOD, FUN AND PRIZES!  Saturday February 17, 2017 from 6-8PM.  $10 per person. Please text Kim at 616-566-0298 for details and sign up.

Send any used or unwanted ink or toner cartridges to Creekside to Mrs. Walcott’s room.  Staples gives $2 back in rewards for each cartridge brought in for recycling.  Yes, there is a limit and a minimum purchase required.

**Take note….Creekside opens it’s doors to students at 7:05a.m.. After school, students not with a teacher or coach, need to exit the building by 3:00p.m..

**Paper Gator Recycling:

What?  Please bring in your newspapers, catalogs/magazines/junk mail/phone books/office-school paper.  We cannot take plastic, metal, trash, glass, or cardboard.  

Where?  In the back of Creekside  (Look for “Paper Gator” on the bin)When? 24-7(drop off anytime)  

What will the paper become?  The paper will be shredded and processed into hydro-seeding mulch, lawn establishment products, lawn repair products, cat litter, dog litter or small animal bedding. Help us become a greener world!!!! Recycle!!!

FRIDAY – December 22 – Mr. Veldhuis’s last day!! Please join us in wishing him a wonderful retirement!! We are going to miss him!!!!!
**Found 2 different silver rings. One of them was found in the portable. Please come to the office to identify and claim.
**Students and Staff – TODAY Friday Dress in your best Holiday Attire…..aka ugly sweaters, holiday hats, your best Santa Suit, Elf Costume, etc.!!! (Of course school appropriate attire)

**Attention Students:  There will be no DEAL time the week we get back from break, Wednesday(Jan. 3rd), Thursday(Jan. 4th) and Friday(Jan. 5th) will all be DEAR time days.
**Students in Mr. Kowal’s 6th hour PE class (6th graders):  Don’t forget we start our swim unit the day we return from Christmas break (January 3).  Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel.  You should have received a handout from Ms. Brewer to bring home for more information.
** Mrs. Ross’s has swimming with the 6th graders in 3rd and 5th hour PE classes starting on Jan 3 after holiday break, bring your swimsuit and towel!!!!

Sign up is on-line through Final Forms.  Information sheets are in the office to help you with the sign up.  Several students have signed up on Final Forms, but haven’t completed it.  Please check Final Forms to make sure you are eligible to start on January 16.
